A Filipina’s mesmerizing vocals got a perfect seal of approval from all the judges at the 14th season of “X Factor UK”.
Gaga Lord, a 40-year-old Filipino who works as a dinner lady at a primary school, got all four yeses from Louis Walsh, guest judge Alesha Dixon, Nicole Scherzinger, and Simon Cowell after performing Shirley Bassey’s “Diamonds are Forever”.
Cowell was so impressed at Lord that he even halted her performance to ask Dixon and Scherzinger to act as her backup dancers.
“Right now I feel like James Bond, I do, because of that song,” Cowell said to Lord. “That was amazing. You are fantastic. I love you, I absolutely love you.”
Walsh said that Lord has a powerful voice while Dixon described her as “a force of nature”. Meanwhile, Scherzinger said that her voice is “really robust.”
Lord, who’s real name is Agagey, migrated to UK from Misamis Occidental to be with her British husband whose name is Chris Lord.
“So I’m now called Lady Gaga Lord. I’m the real one,” she said.

According to Paredes, she was inspired to try her luck on the British talent contest after watching the Filipino girl group 4th Impact. “I got really inspired that if they can make it, I can make it too,” said Paredes, who dedicated her “battle” to her daughter.
