Two people sustained severe injuries in an accident between two vehicles in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, October 2.
Abu Dhabi Police identified swerving as the cause of the accident along Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road before Al Nahda bridge leading to one of the vehicles crashing into a metal roadside guardrail.
An image shared by Abu Dhabi Police shows the metal guardrail piercing through the front of the vehicle exiting the backdoor.
“The driver suddenly swerved and rammed into the second vehicle from the rear. The other car slammed into the road divider and careened into the center island,” said Lt. Colonel Muslim Mohammed Al Junaibi, head of the major accidents investigation department of Abu Dhabi Police.
