Have you been to these DOT recognized destinations?

The Department of Tourism’s Infrastructure arm granted these destinations certificates as Tourism Enterprise Zones.

This means that these areas are granted incentives and partnership agreements in tax and duty-free importation of goods

1- Caves, coves and caverns at Bucas Grande Island

Laced with white-sand beaches, Bucas Grande Island is a haven for the adventurous. Tourists may swim among stingless jellyfish, trek the mountain trails and spelunk at Bolitas Cave, Crystal Cave, and Tundan Cave. Also a point of interest is their diving cave, Magkukuob cavern.

2. Seaside retreat at Amorita Resort

Only a 40-minute drive from Bohol’s Tagbilaran Airport, Amorita Resort is a luxurious escape from the urban jungle.

The resort offers breakfast buffet, cocktails, spa and yoga situations. They also boast of two infinity pools overlooking the Bohol sea.

3. Magik Island in the Aton Land and Leisure

The under-construction Magic Island will showcase Negrense folklore and culture. Once completed, Magik Island will be home to Visayas’ tallest ferris wheel. The 600-million theme park will also showcase carousels, roller coasters, arcades and haunted house.

4. King Dome at Kingdom Global City

Only seven years till completion, the King Dome in Davao will be even bigger than the Philippine Arena. It will play host to concerts, boxing events, and basketball games. Aside from the arena, the global city will also have a condominium hotel, museums, a water park, commercial center, and an administration complex.

Aside from these four, check out these previously recognized tourism enterprise zones (TEZ). To be marked as a TEZ, an area must bear cultural and historical significance and environmental beauty.

5. Ciudad de Victoria

Ciudad de Victoria is a complex in Bulacan where the Philippine Arena is seated. Aside from the sports stadium, the development includes a garden, medical center, and residential developments.

6. Bravo Golf Hotel

Boasting of its 18-hole golf course, the Bravo Hotel in Dumaguete is known for its rustic and warm interiors. The hotel also has a bar, two outdoor swimming pools, porticos and a big menu. They also offer a free-shuttle to the airport.

7. Queen’s Castle Island Golf and Resort

Aside from its 70-hectare golf course, the Queen’s Castle in Cebu offers Korean cuisine. It is also nearby the Mabuhay Thresher Diving Center, Gibitngil Island, Skydive Greater Cebu and Santa Fe Butterfly Garden.
