Bo Sanchez has been married with his wife, Marowe for almost a decade and he sure knows what he is talking about when he says, “Never marry because of love.”
A shocker statement as it may seem, but it makes sense.
In an exclusive interview with The Filipino Times, the author and motivational speaker said that this statement can save all the single ladies years and years of heartache and tears.
Sanchez said that romantic love is like the wind— here today, gone tomorrow.
“Only marry because you’ve found the right partner and choose to love him forever – the kind of man you’d think will be a good husband to you and good father to your kids in the future,” he said.
Sanchez said he loves how the author of the classic, The Road Less Travelled, Scott Peck explains what true love is.
He says that true love begins only when one falls out of love because true love has to be willed. There’s got to be a decision involved.
“While you’re in love with someone, love is involuntary. You just love. But when you fall out of love, and you still make a choice to love, then that’s the beginning of true love,” he said.
