June Mar Fajardo has made history after he was recognized as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the sixth time.
In the Leos PBA Annual Awards on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) named Fajardo as the MVP awardee of the league’s 43rd season.
The Cebuano cager was named also as members of the season’s mythical team together with Jayson Castro, CJ Perez, Christian Standhinger, and Sean Anthony, according to a report by GMA News Online.
Perez of Columbian Dyip bagged the Rookie of the Year award.
Rain or Shine’s Gabe Norwood received the Sportsmanship Award while San Miguel Beermen’s Mo Tautaa was the Most Improved Player.
The PBA also opens its new season today. Defending Philippine Cup champion San Miguel Beermen faces the Magnolia Hotshots today.
