Lakers star LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to victory against New York Knicks 117-87 but unfortunately lost Anthony Davis during the match after a hard fall on the third quarter of the game.
James managed to convert six 3-pointers out of the Lakers’ total of 17 for the entire match.
Davis lost his balance when he collided with Knicks’ Julius Randle with 2:45 remaining on the clock in the 3rd quarter of the match – he wasn’t able to return due to the said injury but finished with a total statistic of five points on 2-of-8 shooting, six rebounds and three steals during his game time of 28 minutes, as per reports from Reuters. s
Lakers’ coach Frank Vogel stated that Davis needs to undergo more tests after x-ray images on Davis’ lower back showed negative results.
Other top scorers from the team include Kyle Kuzma (16), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (15) and Avery Bradley (12) for the Lakers.
RJ Barrett led the Knicks with 19 points as the team struggled without their star player Marcus Morris Sr. who had a sore neck. Randle scored 15 points with 10 rebounds, and Elfrid Payton added 12 points to the total.
