Kim Mangrobang defended her title at the women’s triathlon at the 30th Southeast Asian Games on December 1.
Mangrobang and her teammate Kim Kilgroe had a head to head bike competition. But Mangrobang managed to take the lead in the running leg.
The Philippines made 1-2 sweep in the men’s category as well.
John ‘Rambo’ Chicano won the first gold medal of the SEA Games while his teammate Kim Remolino snatched the silver medal. The duo completed the third straight 1-2 finish by Filipinos in men’s triathlon.
