Emirates Airlines will soon introduce a new service that will allow airline passengers to pre-choose or book their meals before flights.
This means that travellers seated at the rear cabin will also be able to pre-select their food.
Airlines in the United States are also trying this new option for choosing meals during flight.
Passengers have the option to choose their preferred meal five days or 24 hours before their flight.
Those who may not be able to choose their meals can make a request to flight attendants.
Budget airlines have long offered this option for a fee.
Joost Heymeijer from Emirates in-flight catering shared during an interview with Dubai Eye 103.8 that the service is still a work in progress and thus have no specific timetable for its launch as of press time.
