“Honey, where are you?”
“Am right here in Africa. What you say we meet halfway in Turkey?”
“India would be fun. Europe perhaps.”
“Okay. I’ll see you in about 15 minutes.”
You’d probably be thinking how one who’s in Africa can be in India or Europe in 15 minutes.
In Global Village, it’s quite possible.
The place, situated in the middle of the desert where it has moved after originally being conceived as a kiosk on the Creek, has through the years, become a household name and a favorite go-to place of UAE residents and visitors.
It is the world’s leading multicultural festival park and the region’s first family destination for culture, shopping, dining and entertainment. Since its inception, it has embodied different aspects of world culture and diversity and created a smile on the faces of millions of guests every season.
An open air festival ground, Global Village takes guests on a journey through its many and varied country pavilions, each representing the richness and culture of that country. It offers unique international cuisine and awe-inspiring entertainment experiences across a wide range of entertaining games and interesting tours.
All its exceptional experiences can be enjoyed by purchasing a ticket worth only AED 15.
Number of visitors varies with the night of week. Global Village had 130,000 guests for the Mohamed Hamaki concert on a Friday night, Dec. 28, 2018 and 110,000 on New Year’s Eve. Over three million guests have visited Global Village in the two months since its opening on 30th October 2018, according to organizers.
