Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher “Bong” Go dared Senator Antonio Trillanes IV to a ‘one-on-one challenge’ amid the senator’s call for him to sign a bank waiver which will allow probe on his alleged ‘billions’ of asset.
“Ball pen lang pala ang gusto mo. Waiver na naman? O saksakan ng ballpen ang gusto mo? Gusto mo saksakan? Kahit saang kampo, puntahan kita,” Go said in an interview with reporters.
The issue between the two officials began when Go remarked during his 44th birthday celebration that he and Trillanes should face each other through a ‘one-on-one’ challenge.
“Kahit anong gusto niyang one-on-one, handa naman po ako,” the Go said in an interview on state-run Radyo Pilipinas.
In response, Trillanes said both of them should sign bank waivers and have their bank accounts open for investigation as their one-on-one challenge.
Meanwhile, the administration noted Trillanes’ number of absences in the Senate. Of 79 Senate sessions from July 2017 to May 2018, Trillanes only attended 52 sessions, making the senator with the most number of absences besides detained senator Leila De Lima.
