Dubai Municipality clinics will no longer conduct health fitness tests as per Executive Council Decision No. 17 of 2017, the civic body announced on their social media account on Thursday, August 24.
“Dubai Municipality decided to discontinue receiving any requests related to the new health card, the renewed ones, or Medical Fitness & Free of Diseases Certificates’ request starting from next Sunday,” they announced.
All clinical tests will now be moved to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
The municipality assured that applications submitted before Sunday will be completed and delivered to their applicants according to the old rules and regulations.
Occupational health cards are issued to certify that employees are fit for working in their job category. This includes food handlers. salon workers, and fitness center and spa employees, among others.
The civic body assured applicants who have submitted their requests before this new rule will still be serviced by Dubai Municipality clinics.
“The outstanding transactions or the ones submitted before will be completed and delivered to their applicants according to the old rules and regulations,” they added.
