  1. 1. President Rodrigo Duterte

The Philippine President is set to visit three countries in the Middle East to meet with the countries’ leaders and the overseas Filipino communities. Duterte will first visit Riyadh from April 10-12, followed by Manama, Bahrain from April 12-14 and lastly, he will be in Doha from April 14-16.

2. President Donald Trump

On April 7, he ordered firing 59 cruise missiles at a military target in Syria as a retaliatory move against President Bashar al-Assad’s alleged use of chemical weapons on civilians. Trump also met with China President Xi Jinping on the latter’s diplomatic visit in the United States.

3. Jose Maria Sison

The exiled Communist Party of the Philippines founder was said to be battling health issues and may come home soon, said President Rodrigo Duterte. However, in an interview with Sison himself by the Inquirer, the 78-year-old activist says that he is “very well” and will only return to the country when a “significant advance” in the peace process happens.

4. Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion

The megastar has apologized for the shelving of her much-awaited reunion movie with ex-husband and former screen partner Gabby Concepcion. The yet untitled project has been put on hold due to schedule conflicts. The film will be reconsidered again in 2018.

5. PO2 Sunny Perez

The police officer has found a bag containing P114,960 at a restaurant in a mall in La Union, Pangasinan. Lending employee Renato Alvarez had left the bag after having a meal. It contained money meant for one of the company’s clients, mostly parents, and relatives of graduating students. Alvarez was supposed to remit the money that day to a client.
