Ahead of the celebration of the 48th UAE National Day, Abu Dhabi Police have issued guidelines on the allowed date when motorists can put decorations on their vehicles to mark the occasion.
On Twitter, the police force said that motorists are only allowed to decorate their vehicles from November 25 until December 6.
Traffic officers will be deployed in many areas in the Capital including, Abu Dhabi City, Al Dhafra and Al Ain.
Reckless drivers will be slapped with a hefty fine and black points.
Brigadier Mohammad Dahi Al Humairi of the Abu Dhabi Police called on all motorists to abide by traffic laws and celebrate responsibly for their own safety.
