Actress Claudine Barretto insists that she could do more and help more people if she would be elected as Olongapo City councilor.
In an interview with Anthony Taberna, Claudine shared the reasons why she filed her candidacy as a city councilor.
“Oo nga, e, ang sabi nga nila mas magulo daw ang pulitika kaysa sa showbiz. Ang akin is mas makakatulong tayo sa tao kung nasa posisyon tayo,” the former Kapamilya superstar said.

She is currently running under the slate of talent manager Arnold Vegafria who is running as mayor of the city.
She enumerated some of her plans for the city should she win a seat.
“Isa, dito ako, nasa social services, so anything tungkol sa social services, hawak ko yun, under sa akin yun. So that means healthcare, housing, livelihood, wellness, at yung pinakaimportante yung magkaroon ng trabaho ang mga taga-Olongapo,” she said.

The actress also admitted that she has no formal education when it comes to politics.
“Wala akong experience sa pulitiko, wala rin akong masyadong alam sa pulitiko, pulitika, pero meron akong puso para manilbihan,” she said.
“Sinasabi ko nga lagi, wala akong alam sa pulitiko pero meron lang akong puso para sa paninilbihan,” she added. (TDT)
