People who have taken one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine can enter malls, restaurants, cafes, gyms and salons from June 27 in Kuwait
The Kuwait Municipality now allows residents who can show proof that they have been vaccinated to re-enter malls. It further said that those who are excluded from vaccination and pregnant women are also allowed within the premises.

The officials of the Center for Government Communication said that residents could display their vaccination status on the Immune or Kuwait Mobile ID smartphone apps. The app will show green or orange vaccination statuses – which meant that the person had received one or both vaccine doses and are allowed to enter. Those with a red status will be denied entry.
From June 27, Kuwait will bar access to unvaccinated people within its malls, restaurants, gyms, salons and barbershops, cinemas and, sports facilities. Authorities stated that military personnel will help to implement the government’s health measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Malls closed to unvaccinated persons include: The Avenues, Marina Mall, Souq Sharq, Al-Raya, 360 Mall, Al-Kout Mall, Gate Mall, Salhiya Complex, Boulevard Mall, and Olympia Mall.
Meanwhile, other shopping malls are likely to announce entry measures before June 27. These include Al-Fanar, Souq Salmiya (City Center), Laila Gallery, Slayil Al-Jahra, Al-Hamra. (AW)
