“Filipino Flash” Nonito Donaire managed to make boxing history again on Sunday, May 30, after Nordine Oubaali via knockout to win the WBC bantamweight champion in Carson, California.
Donaire is considered to be the oldest bantamweight champion in boxing history, at 38 years old.

“Father time is on my side. I believe the human body is an incredible machine if we take care of it. Mentally you are only as strong as your mind can be,” he said in a report on AFP.
“Being at this age is not the question. It is my ability to grow. It is not what age you are, but how strong you are mentally. I am back. The whole time I was not fighting I was learning. I am ready for the next one,” he added.
Donaire managed to knock his opponent thrice and while he’s gunning for the fourth one, the referee called on the fight and declared Donaire’s victory.

The first two knockdowns happened in the third round with the Filipino boxer unleashing his left hooks.
