Ras Al Khaimah to reopen wedding halls, negative PCR test result required for attendees

Couples who are set to get married in Ras Al Khaimah may soon begin to book the emirate’s banquet halls.

The Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development announced that it will be reopening its wedding halls with full adherence to a new set of rules and regulations in line with the country’s COVID-19 preventive measures.

All attendees are required to present a negative PCR test result valid for 48 hours before the wedding. Individuals who have been injected with the COVID-19 vaccine are also allowed entry two weeks after they receive their second dose.

Wedding event oganizers are required to apply for a permit, while music bands remain prohibited.

A maximum of 30 percent capacity will apply across all wedding halls.

All guests are also required to observe proper social distancing and wearing of masks.
