The Abu Dhabi Crisis, Emergencies and Disasters Committee has introduced new entry regulations for residents and tourists flying into the Capital, as part of its move to welcome back international tourists starting December 24.
Tourists from “green countries” will no longer need to undergo quarantine. However, they must self-isolate until they get the COVID-19 test results.
These are countries with low-risk of COVID-19 including the following:
• Australia
• Brunei
• China
• Greece
• Greenland
• Hong Kong
• Malaysia
• Mauritius
• New Zealand
• Saudi Arabia
• Singapore
• Taiwan
• Tajikistan
• Thailand
• Uzbekistan
• Vietnam
Meanwhile, all other tourist will now only undergo quarantine for a period of 10 days instead of 14 days.
The Committee has also extended the validity of a negative PCR or DPI test result from 48 to 72 hours.
All travellers, both residents and tourists, will need to undertake a PCR test on day 6 if they are staying 6 or more consecutive days, as well as on day 12 if they are staying 12 or more consecutive days.
It should be noted that country classifications will be reviewed fortnightly.
A periodic screening programs will be conducted for the residents of industrial zones and communities with high population density and the employees of commercial activities in Abu Dhabi emirate.
