The Philippine Embassy in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain conducted its first “First Friday Services” for 2020 with a record-breaking number of passport applicants served.
The Consular team accepted and processed a total of 139 applications for passport renewal, with most of the applicants consisting of families with minor children.
Aside from the passport renewal applications, the team also processed a total of 17 notarial applications, 1 civil registration, released a total of 61 passports and notarized documents and registered a total of 41 applicants for overseas voting.

The Embassy’s First Friday Services is an ongoing program since November 2017 provided to respond to the needs of Overseas Filipinos in the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially for those who cannot come on weekdays to avail of the Embassy services.
The Embassy is open to serve the public from 8 AM to 12 NN every first Friday of the month and offers Filipinos in the Kingdom various consular services. This includes assistance to nationals; processing of OEC with POLO; OWWA, Pag-Ibig and SSS services; registration of overseas voting for the May 2022 elections; and the release of available COMELEC voters ID.
