Saudi police arrested a local man nearly 43 years after he ran over another Saudi while he was crossing road.
Police bad searched for the driver for many years and he remained wanted all those years, newspapers in the Gulf Kingdom said.
The victim’s family has filed many lawsuits against the driver but he was not tried because he fled the scene in the Western Taif city just after the accident.
Newspapers said police this week received information about the whereabouts of the driver, who is now in his 70s.
“Nearly 43 years after he caused that accident and crippled a pedestrian, the driver has just been arrested by the police,” Sada daily said.
