Abu Dhabi has been named as the second best capital city in the world to visit on a holiday.
According to the Bounce’s capital cities index, Abu Dhabi took the second place with a score of 6.24 over 10. The index covered 69 most developed capital cities in the world.
Taking the top spot was Valletta in Malta with a score of 6.74.
Meanwhile, in third place was New Delhi in India (6.06), followed by Manama in Bahrain (5.77) and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia (5.74).
The index noted that several factors were taken into consideration in making the ranking such as man-made features and amenities, as well as the weather and climate.
“The city (Abu Dhabi) has one of the lowest annual rainfall totals with only 42mm dropping in the desert locale. Moreover, the year-round average temperature in the city is 27.92 degrees celsius which is the fourth highest of all cities studied,” the index noted.
Other capital cities in the list are Muscat, Paris, Kuwait, Ankara, Jakarta, Bangkok, Cairo, Taipei, Nicosia, Madrid, Hanoi, Lisbon, Bucharest, Andorra, and Beijing.
