Filipino scholar Kent Tangcalan managed to bring home to the country his Summa Cum Laude honor from Europe.
Tangcalagan said he was able to study abroad through the Erasmus+ scholarship program.
He learned about the scholarship through one of his friends whom he met abroad.
“There was an Indonesian delegate there, she applied for Erasmus for two years already and she gave me the website,” Tangcalagan told INQUIRER.net.
The scholarship covered tuition fee, annual travel allowance, establishment allowance for scholars to adjust abroad and accommodation to help scholars in their adjustment period in a foreign land, and a monthly contribution cost.
Tangcalagan was able to study at Corvinus University of Budapest in Hungary for his first semester, the University of Regensberg in Germany for his second semester, and the University of Trento in Italy for his third semester.
He finished Erasmus Joint Master’s Degree in Comparative Local Development.
