Riyadh: A blind Sudanese woman says she regained her eyesight after performing the Muslim Hajj (pilgrimage) in Saudi Arabia last week.
The woman was seen in a film crying and saying “praise be to Allah” after regaining her sight which she lost when she was a teenage girl due to illness.
The Saudi Sada daily said the woman was blind when she performed the five-day Hajj in the Western town of Makkah.
“She said she prayed to God in Makkah to cure her…the woman said that after performing Hajj, she went to Medina on her way back to Sudan and that she could be able to see once she was in Medina,” the paper said.
