FACT CHECK: Is this viral ‘Gyrodrop’ ride real?

Filipinos love the thrill of amusement park rides but this particular attraction that has been making rounds in social media had netizens thinking if it’s real or not.

It was found out that the ‘Gyro Drop’ video was all computer-generated animation all along. It was based from a real popular theme park attraction of the same name at Seoul, South Korea.

Here’s the video of the fake Gyro Drop:

Lotte World’s real ‘Gyro Drop’ simply takes the visitors to the top of the 230-foot (70-meter) tower aboard a gondola that rotates, which then drops down at a speed of 62 mph afterwards.

This pales in comparison to the computer-generated Gyro Drop that, goes drops seats one after the other, swings all of them outwards so fast and then drops them into a free fall.
