As the Dubai Expo 2020 continues to unveil the official participation of countries, one of the countries that has already revealed its concept for the world to see is the country of Monaco.
The pavilion’s central theme will be ‘Monaco 360° – a World of Opportunities’ designed by Monegasque architect Olivier Deverini (AODA) and the Swiss architect office OOS under the Dubai Expo 2020’s Opportunity District.
The polygonal pavilion shaped like a gem was inspired by the ‘Rock of Monaco’ and hopes to take their visitors on a glimpse and feel of the French Riviera’s sights, sounds, and smells through mirrored exhibition spaces.
Covering more than 1,700 m2, The structure features two main exhibition areas. The ‘Garden of Opportunities’ includes a variety of interactive experiences that will bring to life Monaco’s warm, sunny climate. Visitors will then enter the ‘Kaleidoscope’, which will showcase the country’s art, culture, innovation, history, gastronomy and more.
The pavilion will likewise be equipped with photovoltaic panels as well as a gray water recycling system to ensure that it runs its energy autonomously.
The main concept and design was presented in the presence of H.S.H Prince Albert II, Mohamed ALSAHLAWI, Deputy Chief of Mission, M. Humaid ALMANSOORI, Second Secretary from the UAE Embassy in Paris, H.E. Mrs. Mireille Pettiti, President of Monaco Inter Expo and Albert Croesi, General Commissioner of the Monaco Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
