The UAE celebrated Kuwait’s 58th National Day as it lighted up Burj Khalifa with the flag’s national colours last February 24 – much to the delight of many residents and expats in the area.
Earlier, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, on the occasion of his country’s National Day and Liberation Day.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, have also dispatched two similar greetings to the Emir of Kuwait on the occasion.
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has sent a message of congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, on the occasion of his country’s National Day and Liberation Day.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also posted a heart-warming video on his Twitter handle commemorating Kuwait’s upcoming national day.

The portrait spans more than 170,000 square feet in size and is made out of carved red sand. Etched into the sand are the words, “prince of humanity” beneath the portrait which is also and slated to enter a Guinness world record.
