It is a tradition for couples to give away souvenirs or commemorative gifts to their wedding guests, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were no different.
The couple invited 1,200 guests to witness their wedding live outside St. George Chapel in Windsor Castle.
They gave away small canvas bags bearing their initials to not more than 1,000 of these lucky guests.
These bags were filled with souvenir documents about the wedding, some chocolates, a bottle of water, biscuits, a magnet with the date of the wedding and the couple’s initials, a welcome letter, and a coupon to a local store.
The items weren’t something that you can buy at a grocery because most of them were customized just for the wedding.
However, a few days after the wedding, at least 25 of these goodie bags made their way on eBay and some were up for bid.
One bag, according to a report by People Magazine, was listed on the online retail website for $2,762 or a staggering P145,000.
In another report by the South Africa-based Eyewitness News, another goodie bag is up for bid and has reached more than R17,000 or over Php70,000.
