BB Gandanghari, formerly known as actor Rustom Padilla, confirmed that the news surrounding around his alleged death is a hoax, adding that she is fine and in a good condition.
Gandanghari, who is now living a simple life in the US for several years now, said that she appreciates the messages and comments she received from supporters after hearing that she was allegedly found dead in her apartment. However, she also expressed her disappointed that no one from her family reached out to her to ask how she was.
She pointed out that the fact no one checked up on her regarding such serious reports had made her sad.

“’Yon ang naapektuhan ako. Hindi ako nagdadrama, pero sinasabi ko, mayroong automatic effect yun, e. You would kind of think. ‘Di ba mapapaisip ka, ‘Wow, naibalita na akong patay, walang DM. Paano nga? What if?’,” Pep.ph quoted her as saying.
She added, however, that she just convinced herself that maybe her family is not gullible enough to believe those kinds of news.
In 2006, then actor Rustom Padilla came out as gay inside the Pinoy Big Brother house. She afterwards transformed herself and became known as BB Gandanghari.
