Manila — The wife of actor Matt Evans was apprehended yesterday in Makati City after she was accused of committing fraud.
Businesswoman Riza Katrina Evans, 32, was nabbed by the authorities based on a warrant issued by the Makati Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 66- A, ABS-CBN News reported.
She was arrested in connection to the business transaction she made, Makati City Police Chief Major Gideon Ines said in an interview to Bombo Radyo.
Her bail was set at Php30,000.
Earlier, the actor told an entertainment website in Pep.ph last September that his wife victimized by her business partner. The latter allegedly stole an estimated Php 6 million worth of luxury items such as bags and jewelry.
