WATCH: Manny Pacquiao trains son Jimuel

It seems like Manny Pacquiao’s eldest son Jimuel has made up his mind about pursuing a career in boxing.

As seen in a video uploaded by Manny’s wife Jinkee on Instagram, the boxing champ is giving his son some pointers on how to be a good boxer.

While many are sending Jimuel well wishes on his chosen passion, it seems like Jinkee is not happy that her son is following his father’s footsteps.

“While I was watching them, I was about to cry. My son really wants to be a boxer,” she said in her native language. “Manny said, ‘Babe, we finally have a boxer in the family. Nothing can stop him.”

“Oh, Lord, Your Will be done in my son’s life! I know he can do all things through You who strengthens him. To God be all the glory!” she added.

It can be recalled that Jimuel has expressed his interest in boxing earlier this year.

Jimuel revealed that he would like to represent the Philippines someday through boxing. He started training for boxing when his father was also preparing for his fight with American boxer Adrien Broner.

While he disapproved at first, Manny said that he just eventually decided to support his son.

Jimuel has also been training and competing in amateur boxing matches.

In a previous Instagram post by ABS-CBN sports correspondent Dyan Castillejo, Jimuel looks like a boxing superstar in the making after he was able to knock down his schoolmate Lucas Carson in the the 2-round bout.
