The Instagram comment of comedienne Pokwang to Chokoleit before his death resurfaced online, with netizens saying that it was sort of a premonition of the untimely death of the late comedian.
Chokoleit posted a video of him participating in the viral dance challenge called “Switch It Up”.
The said video was posted on Instagram on January 9, exactly two months before Chokoleit passed away after experiencing difficulty in breathing after a show in Abra.
Pokwang wrote a joke in the comments section of the said post saying that Chokoleit will die after doing the challenge due to exhaustion.
“Tapos niyan patay ka na I’m sure! Hahahahaha. ‘Waz up, madlang pipol’ nga lang sa It’s Showtime, kulang na lang sa ‘yo oxygen sa hingal. Chokoleit Garcia RIP! Bwahahahahaha katapusan mo na!,” Pokwang wrote.
Chokoleit posted a reply which reads: “@itspokwang27 Gaga super edited nga yon kung sa ‘yo pinagawa. Lahat ng pinagawa saken ni Memeh ngangawit yang tinggil mong hugis bell pepper!”
After Chokoleit’s death, Pokwang took to Twitter to remember the late comedian.
“Salamat chokie sa tawa at sa lagi mong bukas na puso at yakap sakin tuwing may hinaing ako, isa kang tunay na kaibigan ko! I love you at sobrang nagpapasalamat ako na naging kaibigan at pamilya narin kita kasi ninang ka ni Malia, pahinga na friend i love you!” Pokwang wrote.
Aside from Pokwang, many celebrities, such as Vice Ganda, Paulo Avelino, Ogie Alcasid, Amy Perez, Vhong Navarro, Maris Racal, Luis Manzano, and Sunshine Cruz, paid tribute to Chokoleit.
