Bella Santiago became the first ever Filipino singer to win “The X Factor Romania”.
During the finale show of the competition’s eighth season, Santiago wowed the judges and audience members as she performed an electrifying mash-up of Beyonce’s hits “Love On Top” and “Crazy In Love”.
The 29-year-old Caviteña singer earned a standing ovation from the judges after her performance.
Because of her win, Santiago will be taking home a cash prize worth €100,000 or around P6 million.
Throughout the course of the show, Santiago has given some of the most memorable performances including her renditions of Jessie J’s “Bang Bang”, Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, and Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”.
This isn’t the first time Santiago appeared on a talent show in Romania. She also joined “Romania’s Got Talent” in 2016, and “Eurovision Romania” earlier this year.
Before she moved to Romania, she has also competed in a few competitions in the Philippines. When she was younger, she joined GMA-7’s singing competition Pinoy Pop Superstar. Santiago also became a contestant in It’s Showtime’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan” in 2016.
At the end of the show’s finale, Santiago dropped to her knees in tears as she gave her winning speech.
