Marcelito Pomoy appeared on the famous US talk show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” wherein he showcased his “doble kara” singing talent and shared his life story before he became a singer in the Philippines.
During his guesting, he performed two Celine Dion duet songs, namely “The Prayer” and “Beauty and the Beast”, explaining that he idolizes the French-Canadian diva.
The show’s host Ellen DeGeneres was impressed with Pomoy’s talent, as well as the audience members who gave him a standing ovation after his performance.
DeGeneres was so amused with Pomoy’s talent that she even contacted Dion, who is one of her good friends, so that the Filipino singer will be able to watch his idol live in concert.
“I called Celine, told her about you. She wants to meet you so you’re gonna go to Vegas to see her show,” DeGeneres promised Pomoy who was left feeling ecstatic because of the announcement.
It was not mentioned if Pomoy will be performing on the said concert or when will he fly to Vegas to watch it.
