Thai internet celebrity Mader Sitang, who is known for her hair whipping dance videos on social media, arrived in the Philippines on Friday afternoon to do a series of shows for her Filipino fans.
Upon her arrival, Mader Sitang immediately did a meet-and-greet with fans and members of the press in Quezon City.
Mader Sitang, a 59-year-old transgender lawyer, also toured around Manila and visited some tourist spots in the city.
According to a tweet by ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, Mader Sitang went to Luneta Park and paid tribute to the country’s national hero, Jose Rizal. She also went to Intramuros and took a kalesa ride.

Another one of Felipe’s tweets showed Sitang giving a P500 bill to a baby when she was walking around Manila.

To show her love for the Philippines, Mader Sitang even posted a photo on her Facebook page of her wearing a yellow Filipiniana.
The said photo appears to have been taken from the hallway of the hotel as she spread out the train of her embroidered yellow gown.
She also did an interview with Korina Sanchez’s weekly lifestyle show “Rated K”, and performed at the 690 entertainment bar in Quezon City.
“I am overwhelmed for the love and support to all my Filipino fans out there. From the bottom of my heart, I love u all,” Mader Sitang said in one of her Facebook posts.
Mader Sitang became popular on social media for her videos which shows her dancing while throwing her head back and forth repeatedly with shirtless men in the background. One of her most viewed videos has gained over 16 million views as of this writing. Many netizens have created parodies of her videos.
Aside from her viral videos, Mader Sitang is also considered to be one of Thailand’s top product endorsers today.
