Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez became emotional as she gave out her farewell message during the 6th anniversary episode of “Sarap Diva” which was aired October 13.
Velasquez delivered an emotional message to her colleagues and the network she worked with for the past two decades.
She first expressed her gratitude to the GMA executives who helped her so much throughout her career in the Kapuso network.
“Kay Miss Darling, maraming maraming salamat. Thank you miss Darling [de Jesus] for all the opportunities that you have given me.
“Sila Ma’am Lilybeth [Rasonable], sila Redgie [Magno], all my bosses, siyempre ang aking mga boss talaga, mga top, si Mr. [Felipe] Gozon at saka si Mr. [Gilberto] Duavit.
“I have stayed here for two decades. Maraming maraming salamat po sa tiwalang ibinigay niyo sa akin and for taking good care of me,” she said.
She also thanked the director, staff, and crew of “Sarap Diva” who have been with her for the past six years.
“I’m sure hindi ako perfect na katrabaho. I’m sure may mga times na nabubwisit kayo sa akin so pasensiya. Tao lang. Minsan may dinadala but na-appreciate ko kayo. I have six years of wonderful memories sa Sarap Diva. I love everyone I worked with here.
“‘Yung six years na yun, like I said andami kong natutunan. Nakilala ko lahat. And dito po sa Sarap Diva, talagang family na po kami,” she said.
Velasquz also urged her viewers to continue watching the following episodes of “Sarap Diva”, which will be given the new title “Sarap Di Ba?”
It has been reported that Carmina Villaroel, together with her twins Mavy and Cassie, will be replacing Velasquez on the said show.
“All I have is gratitude for GMA. Thank you very, very, very much for everything, for taking good care of me and my whole family,” Velasquez said by the end if her message.
Velasquez’s emotional message came after GMA management finally confirmed that the well-known singer will be transferring to the Kapamilya network.
“After two decades, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has officially said her goodbyes to the Kapuso Network. We understand her decision to join her husband and we wish her well as she pursues other opportunities outside GMA Network,” Senior Vice President for GMA Entertainment Content Group Lilybeth Rasonable said in a statement.
