Months ago, teen stars Maris Racal and Iñigo Pascual admitted that they are dating, but fans are wondering about the real score between them after the latter publicly confessed his love for his rumored girlfriend.
On July 7, Iñigo appeared as a guest performer during the album launch of Maris which was held at the Skydome in SM North EDSA.
During the event, Iñigo professed his feelings to Maris by saying “I love you” to her in front of a live audience.
Piolo Pascual, father of Iñigo Pascual, reacted saying, “Malaki na siya! Bahala na siya sa buhay niya. Kung anong gusto niya, panindigan niya. Wala sa akin ‘yan. Handa na ba siya?” Pascual said as quoted by PEP.
He also admitted that he gives pieces of advice to his son when it comes to relationships.
He also added, “Hindi naman ako ang makikisama kundi siya. Ang sinasabi ko lang sa kanya, ‘As long as you’re sincere, as long as you’re true to each other at hindi kayo naggagamitan o naglolokohan, walang problema. Basta happy sila. Nagpunta ‘ko one time sa shoot nila… Labas tayo diyan.”
He also narrated one instance that made him realize that his son is growing up.
“Si Iñigo nga dumating, alas-kuwatro na ng umaga. Natapos ako ng taping ‘tapos sabi ko, ‘Anak, anong oras ka uuwi?’ Sabi niya, ‘I’ll just hang out with my director.’ Umuwi si Iñigo before five. Kasama si Maris, I think. Bumaligtad na ang mundo, siya na ang gumigimik, e.”
Piolo also only has good things to say about his son’s rumored girlfriend.
The 41-year-old actor said that when Maris was still inside Pinoy Big Brother house in 2014, he already thought that she was a nice child.
“Respectful, very sincere. Hindi mo pag-iisipan na baka hindi totoo yung pinapakita niya. Very candid,” Piolo spoke of Maris.
