The legal counsel of Filipino actress Ellen Adarna has confirmed that his client has already given birth.
Atty. Rebo Saguisag made the announcement during the proceedings of a child abuse and cybercrime complaints filed against Adarna.
As seen in a video uploaded by entertainment reporter MJ Marfori on her Instagram Story, Atty. Saguisag said that Adarna could not make it to the court hearing because she has recently given birth.
Speaking to reporters outside the Pasig City Regional Trial Court, Atty. Saguisag said, “Actually, after the [last] hearing, sinabi namin, nanganak na siya, two days after. Talaga namang wala kaming dahilan… Sinasabi nila, ‘delay.’ Maybe ‘delay,’ for her to be able to have a safe delivery. And in due time… Mahirap i-biyahe, e. It’s a matter of days pa lang, e.”
Marfori wrote on her Instagram Story that Adarna needs time to recuperate after giving birth last June 27 and she will face child abuse accusations head on.
Atty. Saguisag did not give any further details about Adarna giving birth, but it can be recalled that, last month, Adarna’s boyfriend, John Lloyd Cruz, lambasted a news website for posting a story about his girlfriend which he tagged as “fake news”.
The said article showed the claims of an unknown Twitter user who said that Adarna has given birth at Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu last June 29. The netizen also said that Adarna, who allegedly gave birth to a baby boy, is confined at the 12th floor of the said hospital. She said that Adarna’s son was immediately baptized but no one was able to see or visit them due to tight security.

In the comments section of the entertainment blogger Fashion Pulis, many netizens congratulated the celebrity couple adding that Cruz and Adarna’s child would surely look adorable.
Some netizens also said that now that she has given birth, there are no more excuses left for her to not attend court hearings.
