The Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is known to be very vocal on social media.
When veteran entertainment reporter Lolit Solis uploaded a post about Aquino’s appearance on Mayor Herbert Bautista’s birthday and her role on the Hollywood movie “Crazy Rich Asians”, the actress gave Solis a piece of her mind.
As can be seen on Solis’ post, she ‘commended’ Aquino for being media savvy and for knowing how to stay relevant in the entertainment industry.
As an example, Solis said that there were many news about Aquino’s role in the upcoming Hollywood film “Crazy Rich Asians” even though she was not seen on the trailer.
Solis even commented about Aquino’s talent fee, saying that it probably did not cover her expenses when she brought her entire team with her to Singapore where the movie was shot.
In the comment section of Solis’ post, Aquino replied and disclosed some information about the movie.
Regarding her talent fee, Aquino said that it was enough to pay for a Michael Cinco gown.
She is probably referring to the gown she wore in Crazy Rich Asians, and since it was previously reported that she will be portraying a princess in the movie, it wouldn’t come as a shock to see the Queen of All Media wearing a creation of the Dubai-based designer.
Even though Aquino was not seen in the trailer, she said that she will have at most five minutes of screen time.
Aquino did not reveal further details about the movie or the dress. She said that she has a strict non disclosure agreement with Warner Brothers Pictures, the producer of the film. However, she still assured people that when she appears on screen, they will see the reason why she got excited to take on the role.
Aside from Aquino, Nico Santos, a Filipino-American comedian, who is already making a name for himself in Hollywood for starring in the comedy series “Superstore”, will also appear in the film.
Santos will be playing Oliver T’sien, the second cousin of Nick Young, the male lead of the movie.
“Crazy Rich Asians” tells the tale of a young woman who accompanies her boyfriend to Singapore for his best friend’s wedding, only to find out that her lover is filthy rich and is one of the most eligible bachelors in the country.
Constance Wu, Henry Golding, and Michelle Yeoh will lead the all-star Asian ensemble.
According to Warner Bros. Pictures, Crazy Rich Asians will be shown in Philippine cinemas on August 22, 2018.
