Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez could not help but call out her husband Ogie Alcasid during the recently concluded Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards.
Velasquez received the Female Concert Performer of the Year Award during the said ceremony, and during her speech, she mentioned Alcasid whom she called “walang hiya”.
No worries, though, because she said it all in jest.
Velasquez pointed out that Alcasid did not thank her when he received his own award for being the Male Concert Performer of the Year, together with Martin Nievera and Erik Santos.
“Gusto ko pasalamatan ang asawa ko na hindi man lang ako pinasalamatan. Uso pa naman ngayong gabi yun. Walanghiya ka. Magtutuos tayo mamaya,” Velasquez joked.
Alcasid already went on stage to accept his award prior to Velasquez.
The Asia’s Songbird even pointed out that all the male awardees mentioned their wives during their respective acceptance speeches.
Aga Muhlach, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award, thanked Charlene Gonzales; All Time Favorite Actor Award winner Robin Padilla mentioned Mariel Rodriguez; and Film Actor of the Year Dingdong Dantes also thanked Marian Rivera.
