Speculations about Willie Revillame running for a political position in 2019 sparked anew after he was seen having a “serious conversation” with President Rodrigo Duterte at the wake of former Senator Edgardo Angara.
As previously reported, Duterte went to the Heritage Park in Taguig City to pay tribute to the former senate president, who died of cardiac arrest.
He was accompanied by Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go.

During his visit, he also met and had a conversation with Wowowin host Willie Revillame.
According to an article on PEP, Senator Sonny Angara, the son of the departed senator, was the one who encouraged Revillame to sit next to Duterte.
The report further said that the conversation between the two lasted for five hours.
Reports in the past have stated that many political leaders, such as House Representatives Winnie Castelo, Bingbong Crisologo, and Ace Barbers, and former Cabinet Secretary Mike Defensor, have been pushing Revillame to run as Quezon City Mayor.
PEP further said that another popular “kingmaker” is also urging the TV host to run as senator in the coming 2019 elections.
After the president’s long coversation with Revillame, many are now wondering if they have talked about political matters.
No confirmation or any form of statement has been released from Revillame’s side.
