After her emotional performance last April 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo received immense support from fans who comforted her backstage.
Geronimo was not able to hold back tears during her “THIS I5 ME” concert, explaining that the price of fame is already taking its toll on her.
“It hit me ‘yung mga napapanood ko sa videos ni MJ (Michael Jackson), ‘yung sigawan at palakpakan ng mga tao, ‘yung minsan may naluluha pa ‘yung gusto ka mahawakan lang, grabe po.
“I realized na hindi po pala ako handa doon. Ginusto ko pong maibahagi ang talento ko pero hindi po pala ako handa doon sa mga kasama nong mga hiningi ko.
“Lalo na po ‘yung pressure to always do good, maging role model ka, maging perpekto ka, mahirap po,” she said as seen in a video uploaded by a fan on YouTube.
She admitted that she can’t help but feel empty despite being one of the most successful and accomplished singers in the Philippines.
Nevertheless, she said that she will continue sharing her God-given talent with her fans and supporters.
After the show, she met her fans backstage where she apologized for breaking down in the middle of the concert.
Her fans, in return, expressed their love and support to the singer.
As seen in a video uploaded online, Geronimo was crying while some of her fans tried to comfort her.
Her fans assured her that her emotional moment on stage will help her grow to become a better artist.
“No, walang pasensya. You did a very good job. Don’t be sorry. You put up a good show. Mas lalo kaming na-impress sa ‘yo because you have a big heart, sobra,” one of her supporters said.
