Neophyte actor Joshua Garcia was not able to hold back the tears during his recent interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda”, where he confessed about the recent state of his relationship with actress Julia Barretto.
During the past weeks, the rumored couple has been making headline in entertainment websites after many speculated that they broke up.
Garcia revealed in the interview that it all started when a screenshot of his private message to a certain girl named Dane on social media went viral.
In the said screenshot, Garcia sent a message to Dane saying that her swimsuit snap was an “art photo”.

The 20-year-old actor admitted that his private message caused a fight between him and rumored girlfriend Julia.
But during his interview with Boy Abunda, Garcia set the record straight by saying that Dane was just a random girl he exchanged words with online.
“Wala lang po siya. Wala siya sa buhay ko. Hindi siya naging parte, o kahit ano. Nag-comment ako sa kanya, nag-compliment lang naman ako sa picture, e. Wala namang nangyaring conversation,” he said.
Garcia said that the message did not mean anything but many netizens jumped to conclusions accusing Garcia of cheating.
“Siguro kasi, nakahanap ‘yung mga basher ko ng . . . Hindi kasi madali ‘yung nangyaring iyon, e. Ang daming nag-judge,” Garcia said as he failed to fight back the tears.
However, Garcia said that he and Barretto were able to patch things up.
“Dahil doon, yes, [nag-away kami]. Naayos. Hindi lang naging madali pero kaya naman. Sobrang okay naman ngayon,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dennis Padilla, Barretto’s father, admitted in an interview with PUSH that he was disappointed with Garcia after the issue.
“Oo naman. Siyempre anak mo ‘yun eh. ‘Di ba? Anyway, kung ano man ang problema niyo, matatanda na naman kayo, puro kayo mga adult na. Alam niyo na ang dapat gawin.”
Nevertheless, he said that he felt Garcia’s sincerity during his interview with Abunda.
“Nung umpisa hindi, pero nung bandang huli, medyo naniniwala na ako, especially nung sinabi ni Boy Abunda na eto I remember the phrase, ‘Joshua, you have my respect’ so nung sinabi ni Boy Abunda ‘yun, sabi ko, ‘Okay approve’,” he said.
Padilla also warned Garcia to never hurt her daughter again.
“Mag-sorry lang sa ‘kin, okay na ‘yun. Sabihin niya, ‘Sorry, Tito Dennis.’ ‘Pag inulit niya ‘yun magiging action star na talaga ako. Wala nang makakapigil nun. Tsaka ‘di na ako nagpapatawa nun.”
