Cathy Garcia-Molina has quit as director of “La Luna Sangre” in order to direct a new Star Cinema movie.
Her departure comes after only a few episodes of the horror-action fantasy drama television series has been aired in its first week of showing.
Garcia said she regrets her departure from the show, but it was not her decision to do so. The director said she was just doing her “duty” by adhering to the decision of higher-ups, reports ABS-CBN’s report.
‘La Luna Sangre’ aired its pilot week episodes from June 19 to 23 and received good reviews from fans.
Richard Arellano and GB Sampredo will take over as directors of the teleserye starring Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, and Richard Gutierrez.
Meanwhile, Garcia-Molina will be the director of “Seven Sundays” featuring Dingdong Dantes, Enrique Gil, Cristine Reyes, and Aga Muhlach.
