Philippines’ bet Rachel Peters failed to reach the Miss Universe Top 5, ending her quest for the country’s fourth crown in one of the world’s most prestigious and awaited beauty pageants.
The top 3 candidates are from Jamaica, Colombia and South Africa.
The candidates who made it to the top 5 are from: South Africa, Venezuela, Thailand, Jamaica, and Colombia.
In a statement, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc said : “BPCI Chair Mrs Stella Marquez Araneta wishes to congratulate Rachel Peters for her phenomenal representation of the country in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.”
“The Universe is not livelier with you as a shining star. More than your poise and beauty, you are a cut above the rest with your grace and elegance that exemplifies a true woman of substance and an inspiring Filipina. We are proud to be a part of your journey,” it added.
