Apple has finally unveiled its iPhone 12 line up with faster 5G connectivity, and whose prices ranges from AED2,500 to AED4,000 for handsets with minimum storage capacity. Those with bigger storage capacity can go as high as AED5,900 in the UAE.
This is Apple’s first 5G smartphone units.
In a virtual event on Tuesday, four new iPhones have been announced, namely the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max and a new, smaller, iPhone 12 mini.
The new iPhones are 5G-capable which means they can connect to the next-generation high-speed wireless networks.
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will have two cameras on the back, while the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max add a third.
Apple is also checking on possible battery impact with faster internet connectivity.
The latest iPhones are powered by new A14 Bionic chip, which the company boasts is the “fastest in any smartphone.”
“This is a huge moment for all of us and we’re really excited,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said.
The company hopes that their loyal customers will still be willing to for these brand-new models amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The cheapest phone in its new lineup — the iPhone 12 mini — starts at $699 (AED2,500), while the top-of-the-line iPhone 12 Pro Max — Apple’s biggest ever smartphone at 6.7 inches — will start at $1099 (AED4,000).
Pre-orders for iPhone 12 and iPhone pro will be on October 16. The iPhone Mini, meanwhile, will be available for pre-order Nov. 6 and in stores Nov. 13.
