His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of the UAE and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sends his greetings of peace, unity, and safety for UAE residents as the country officially announced April 24, Friday as the beginning of the Ramadan season.
“Ramadan Mubarak to all. May you and your loved ones be safe and find peace and inspiration in this blessed month of compassion and solidarity. May we have the strength and unity to see us through these challenging times to brighter days ahead,” tweeted His Highness.

Earlier, the UAE has announced that it has begun easing up restrictions as the Ramadan period begins, including reduced timings for the country’s National Sterilization Programme which now only lasts from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

It has also announced that the Dubai Metro will soon be up and running, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm at a still unspecified date.

In Abu Dhabi, buses are expected to continue their operations starting Saturday, April 25, at 6:00 am.
