Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay made it clear that he is legally single and his past marriage is now null and void.
The issue came up after comments on the actor’s recent Instagram posts with girlfriend Andrea Torres asking if the actor was really legally annulled.
“I am, dear,” was Ramsay’s response.
His lawyer, Atty. Joji Alonso also confirmed the actor’s annulment.
Alonso added that Ramsay’s past marriage has long been declared null and void.
“He was confirming the fact that he is no longer married to anyone,” Alonso added.
The actor had a publicized custody battle with ex-partner Mary Jolly.
They were married in 2002. The issue became big when the latter showed up in 2014 demanding support from Ramsay.
Ramsay’s son Austin was brought to Dubai. They continue to be based in the emirate even after the former couple’s legal feud in 2014.
