Filipino boxer Jhunreil Ramonal has won the title of WBO Asia Pacific super bantamweight title after defeating his Japanese foe in a match on New Year’s eve.
Ramonal ended the bout on the first round against Japanese opponent Yusaku Kuga in their match set at Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Inquirer.net reported.
This is Ramonal’s third straight win while ending the three-fight winning streak of Kuga.
Meanwhile, Filipino boxer Rey Loreto failed to win his match against Ginjiro Shigeoka.
He fell in five rounds for the title bout of the WBO Asia Pacific minimum weight championship.
