An Asian is on trial in Ras Al Khaimah on charges of trying to steal a sheep from a farm in Ras Al Khaimah, a charge he denied.
Police arrested the unnamed man after the farm owner reported that he entered the farm and tried to take a sheep while workers were busy for Friday’s prayers.
A worker who had just finished prayers saw the man trying to carry a sheep and stopped him, newspapers said.
But the defendant insisted in court that he wanted to visit a friend at the farm and did not intend to steal anything, the papers said, adding that the judge postponed session for sentence at a later date.
