Kapamilya actress Ara Mina has once again spoken up about the rumored separation of her sister Cristine Reyes to mixed martial artist Ali Khatibi.
This time, Ara Mina welcomed her sister to the club of single mothers after the latter revealed in an interview that she is now only “civil” with her husband.
Reyes indirectly said that she and Khatibi are now separated but she made it clear that they have decided to be in good terms for the sake of their daughter Amarah.
After which, Ara Mina spoke with PEP.ph and weighed in one Reyes’ revelation saying, “Welcome to the club”, which implies that the two of them have similar experiences in their love life.
Ara Mina also became a single mother to her daughter Amanda Gabrielle after she and politician Patrick Meneses called it quits some time in 2015.
Ara Mina added, “Basta, sabi ng kapatid ko, I just found it today na civil sila, so… E, niloloko nga nila ako na ano raw ang masasabi ko na single moms na raw kami. Pero hindi ko alam kung ano yung interview ng kapatid ko, hindi pa kami nagkakausap.
Ara Mina also said that the public no longer needs confirmation about the status of her sister’s marrige with Khatibi because “what they see is what they get.”
When asked if Reyes is doing well amid the rumored separation, Ara Mina answered, “Hindi ko alam. Hindi ko alam. Basta… di ko alam.”
According to previous reports, Reyes revealed that she is the sole provider for the needs of Amarah which led many to speculate that Khatibi is not helping her financially ever since they have reportedly separated.
It can be recalled that last year several entertainment websites speculated that Reyes and Khatibi might be going through marital problems as the latter was rarely seen on the actress’ social media posts.
Before that, Reyes also shared a cryptic post on Instagram. In the now-deleted post, the actress prayed for her marriage with Khatibi.
Reyes and Khatibi were last seen together during the Christmas party of their daughter last year.
